Brake press operators (Experienced or trainee)

MJH Fabrications Ltd are recruiting several experienced skilled or enthusiastic trainee brake press operators at our thriving metal fabrication company in Pershore.

Previous experience working on Amada presses would be an advantage, but training can be given if necessary.

The successful candidates will be committed to working to high standards with minimal supervision and able to work well in our expanding team. Good communication skills, enthusiasm and a self-driven positive attitude are required in this position.

The competitive salary will be discussed at interview and will be dependent on skill level and experience.

Working hours are:
8am – 5:15pm Monday to Thursday (with 30-minute lunch)
8am – 1pm Friday

Workshop labourer / trainee

Experienced welders and fabricators

A number of skilled welders and fabricators are needed for immediate start (following a successful weld test) at a thriving metal fabrication company in Pershore. Must have solid background in MIG and TIG welding and fabricating. An ability to follow detailed drawings accurately, paying attention to detail, to produce finished small and large fabrications will be essential. The successful candidate will be committed to working to high standards with minimal supervision and able to work well in our expanding team. Good communication skills, enthusiasm and a self-driven positive attitude are required in this position.

Trainee manager

MJH Fabrications Limited are a thriving metal fabrication company based in Pershore, Worcestershire.  We have grown and developed over the last 30 years to gain a wealth of knowledge and experience in the metal fabrication field. By investing in the latest, state of the art machinery including fibre lasers and brake presses, we are expanding and continuing to exceed our customers’ requirements.  We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic Trainee Manager to join our friendly team here at MJH Fabrications.

Overview of the role & responsibilities

The successful Trainee Manager will work under the supervision of existing management to gain the wide variety of knowledge and understanding required to progress towards becoming an independent manager. We are searching for a Trainee Manager who has a thirst for learning and is eager to become immerged in every aspect of our business.  By spending extended time with every department at MJH Fabrications Ltd, including the administration team, the programming office, laser operators, brake press operators and the production team, we hope to give an essential overview of our operations.

Daily duties and responsibilities will increase as an understanding of our business is gained and great work ethic is recognised.  With necessary training, we would like our Trainee Manager to be able to:

  • Liase between administrators and the production team to ensure customer deadlines are consistently met
  • Deal directly with customers and develop solid working relationships
  • Oversee and stay in control of production deadlines and targets
  • Have a positive influence on other staff members by always setting an excellent example
  • Manage staff punctuality, productivity and holiday planning
  • Be involved with material purchasing and preparing quotations for our customers
  • Offer support to maintain and trouble shoot in-house IT and be point of contact with external IT support company (where additional assistance needed)
  • Be a driving force behind helping with ongoing implementation of the production / workshop element of our new modern MRP software
Requirements
  • Degree level qualification based in engineering or minimum of 2 years working experience in the manufacturing industry

Job details

Job title – Trainee manager
Location – Pershore, Worcestershire
Salary – £21,840 starting salary with a view to increase once ability proven.

Standard working hours Monday to Thursday 8am-5:15pm (30 mins for lunch break) and Friday 8am – 1pm.

Extra hours would be expected occasionally to meet company requirements.
