1990

After gaining a City and Guild welding and fabrication qualification, Mike Hemming founded MJH Fabrications. Initially he was a sole trader, working on his own with a MIG welder.

1994

The hard work paid off and as his reputation grew, Mike took on staff to help meet the increasing requirements from customers.

1996

MJH brought a CNC punch press and brake press to broaden the variety of work which could be undertaken.

2001

MJH entered the world of laser cutting when they purchased
a Masak laser.

2002

MJH became a limited company.

2006

The existing laser was replaced with a Bystronic laser to keep pace with advancing technology.

2011

MJH invested in a new Amada F1 4kW CO2 laser to meet growing customer needs.

2015

Whilst growing into 20,000ft premises and going from strength to strength, MJH was becoming known as a fabrication company capable of offering consistent reliability, quality and service.

2019

With the metal fabrication industry transitioning from CO2 to fibre laser, the Amada F1 laser needed updating. Along came the Amada Ensis 3015AJ 9kW fibre laser.

2020

MJH’s increased production meant that an additional identical 9kW Amada fibre laser was installed.

2021

In spite of the challenges the world has faced, MJH has stayed fully open throughout the pandemic and is continuing to invest in up-to-date technology and additional staff to satisfy our growing customer base.
